Oliver is a handsome Caucasian male, with dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and about 6'1" in height. He is also well-toned, especially after his return from the island. Before the wreck Oliver had his hair just above the shoulders and with no facial hair. After returning to civilization Oliver is seen to have a series of scars all over his body, along with a dragon tattoo on his left shoulder and a star tattoo of the Solntsevskaya Bratva Organization on the left side of his chest. Oliver typically dresses in a simple way, using shirts, jeans and boots, often putting on leather coats.

Prior to the time when he was lost on the island, Oliver was the traditional "spoilt brat" and all round "bad boy". He was laid, back and selfish with his actions. He had no care about who got hurt by anything he did. Seeing his father kill himself, and spending time on the island, Oliver has undergone a massive change.
Since his return to civilisation, he has tried to fix things, and make amends for his past behaviours. As well as, to make an effort to try and earn forgiveness from Laurel and her father for their sister\daughter dying on the boat.
As the "new" Oliver, he is disciplined, intelligent, confident, slightly impulsive and always looks out for others. He never acts as judge, jury and executioner, and has a sense of justice and honour.
Oliver "Ollie" Queen is a billionaire and a former playboy. He is the son of Moira and the late Robert Queen, the older brother of Thea Queen, the ex-boyfriend and love interest of Laurel Lance, the former fling of Sara Lance, the best friend of the late Tommy Merlyn, the former apprentice and an good friend of the late Yao Fei, Slade Wilson, and Shado, the partner and an good friend of John Diggle, the ex-boyfriend and an enemy of Helena Bertinelli, the partner and an good friend of Felicity Smoak, and an old friend and the ex-boyfriend of McKenna Hall.
In 2012, Oliver returned to Starling City after being stranded on a remote island for 5 years, much to the surprise of everyone since he was assumed dead, alongside his father. On the island, Oliver learned to fend for himself, and so upon his return, became a green hooded vigilante archer known by everyone in his city as The Hood

The mist hung in the air as Oliver watched out over Starling City from the rooftop at the edge of the glades. The green hood hung low over his closed eyes as he listened intently. A motorbike squealed slightly nearby and his eyes sprung open as he dived off the edge, throwing his arm to his quiver and firing an arrow into the adjacent building. The arrow stuck, and Oliver swung across on the now attached rope to the street below.
Landing on the bike with perfect timing, and accuracy, the figure dressed all in black swerved in an attempt to throw him off before attempting to elbow him. He blocked it, but the result of the second blow caused them both to skid to the ground. The bike slid away into a nearby dumpster.
The pair pulled themselves to the feet. Each looked at the other, waiting for them to make the first move...
