Diana jerked up awake in bed for the third time in a week, which is the same amount of time she had been in this place…wherever it may be. She wiped her sweaty hairline with her palm and placed her head on her pillows. She didn’t know where she was or even remember how she had gotten here. The last thing Diana remembered before waking up in this place was facing off against Ares in Los Angeles, yet again. She tried to get some more sleep but after forty minutes of rolling around in bed, she decided to go for a run. She didn’t bother to change out of her pyjamas, she just put on her sneakers and out she went. Unlike any human, she didn’t fear running into unknown creatures, her strength being greater than anyone else’s she knew. She ran until she reached the river and followed it till she arrived at Whitepearl beach. She had come across the beach on her second day in this place. She sat on the sand, looking out to the water. It reminded her of home on Paradise Island. She missed it and hoped to be able to return someday. She brought her knees to her chest and rested her chin upon them, sighing deeply. Eventually, she would figure out where she was and why she was here but for now, all there was to do was enjoy this beautiful place.
